Danielle Mechling

As Senior Counsel, I help Onyx Renewables navigate a range of legal matters to support its growing solar and storage portfolio and advance its clean-energy mission. In my role, I collaborate with internal teams across Onyx to assist with commercial contracting, project development, and practical, business-aligned risk management.

I bring over 15 years of diverse legal experience from roles in both the private and public sector. I previously served as FERC Legal Director for Avangrid Networks, where I advised the company and its eight public utility subsidiaries on matters before FERC and regional ISOs/RTOs. I also served as an attorney in FERC’s Office of Enforcement and Regulatory Accounting supporting the agency’s mission of ensuring fair and reliable energy markets across the country. In addition, I worked at the law firms of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, where I represented clients on business litigation and regulatory compliance matters.
