Matthew Rosenblum, Founder and CEO, has more than 20 years of investment and trading experience. Previously, at Solops Matt was the largest producer and trader of Class 3 RECs in Connecticut and has personally conducted over 80 million dollars in REC transactions. Matt formed Onyx in partnership with Blackstone around his core operating team at Solops, LLC. Solops was formed by Matt to pursue C&I solar power development. Under Matt’s leadership, Solops built a portfolio of solar systems in partnership with local utilities, construction firms and off-takers, and became a significant producer and trader of renewable energy certificates. Prior to Solops, Matt was the Chief Executive Officer of Neuwing Energy, a leading proprietary trader in carbon related credits and provider of commercial energy strategies that focus on financial performance and environmental responsibility. Fortune 100 companies would engage Neuwing to monetize the environmental incentives including rebates, tax credits, carbon credits, and renewable energy certificates. Prior to his experience in the solar and energy industry, Matt also served in management positions at Hambrecht & Quist. He managed public investing of a $5 billion dollar fund and served as the relationship manager for KKR and Wall Street. During the acquisition of TXU (the largest utility takeover in US history) Matt was in charge of the analysis and compilation of programs for rebates and renewable energy certificates. He was the youngest Managing Director in history of Hambrecht & Quist and during the takeover of Hambrecht & Quist by JP Morgan was in charge of integrating the NASDAQ desk. Matt majored in Finance at the University of South Florida.
Ja Kao, President, has over 15 years of finance and legal experience, as an investment banker and tax lawyer, structuring and placing complex financial instruments and structuring and executing M&A transactions across sectors, including financial services, media, telecom, energy (both traditional and renewable), consumer products and industrials. Prior to joining Onyx, Ja worked at The Blackstone Group, where she was a Managing Director on the Structured Solutions team of Blackstone Advisory Partners. While at Blackstone, she led the renewable energy investment banking practice, covering wind, solar and other technology companies. Ja structured multiple tax equity financing transactions for solar and wind projects. Prior to The Blackstone Group, Ja was a tax associate at the law firm of Shearman & Sterling, LLP in New York and worked on complex M&A, capital markets, cross-border finance and private client matters. Ja received a JD, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA with a major in Economics from Brandeis University. Ja serves as Chairman of the Board of Assessment Review for the town of Pound Ridge, NY and serves on the Board of Directors and Treasurer for the not-for-profit group, Internationals Network for Public Schools.
Ryan A. Marrone, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, has over a decade of experience in the development and finance of renewable energy projects with almost two decades of experience representing private and public companies including several Fortune 100 in a legal capacity. Ryan has led the development of over 470 MWs of commercial and industrial solar installations and closed on project financings totaling in excess of $1 Billion. Ryan was a co-founder of Solops, LLC and a member of the leadership team where he was Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. Prior to Solops, Ryan practiced law with a concentration in general corporate, renewable energy, finance and real estate and served as General Counsel for Heller Industrial Parks. Ryan received a BA in English and Political Science from Seton Hall University and a JD from Widener University. Ryan serves on the Board of Directors of the YMCA – Hamilton, the Executive Compliance Board of RWJ/Barnabus University Hospital-Hamilton, and the Board of Trustees for Ryan’s Quest.
Matthew West, Chief Construction Officer, has 12 years of experience in the real estate development and construction industry most notably in solar and wind. He has developed and constructed over 100 MW of renewable energy projects domestically and internationally. Matthew specializes in all aspects of renewable energy project management, from feasibility to commissioning and is also an Accredited Professional in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) with emphasis on Building Design and Construction.
Prior to joining Onyx, Matthew served as the Executive Vice President of Construction for Solops and a Project Manager for Lanco Solar International and Alteris Renewables, one of the largest design-build renewable energy companies in the Northeast.
James Alderson Smith, Business and Project Development, has been involved with the more nuanced areas of Onyx’s developments including projects behind US military infrastructure. Additionally, for the last year, James has been leading Onyx’s energy storage development efforts, focusing on new market opportunities in California and Arizona.
Prior to joining Onyx, James worked at CRG Financial, a destressed debt investor, and was responsible for internal data analytics and marketing activities, with a focus on writing analytics software.
James received his MEng and BEng from The University of Oxford School of Engineering.
Matthew Banta, Senior Project Accountant, supervises the accounts payables, accounts receivables, budgeting and reporting functions for all projects. Matthew has over ten years of accounting experience in the construction industry implementing national reporting tools, large volume transactional procedures and managing effective information systems.
Matthew has experience working in all facets of the construction industry, working for a developer, subcontractor and large international construction managers. In his most recent accomplishments, Matthew supervised a $300 million national client contract throughout the U.S. implementing executive level reporting tools while managing the day-to-day transactions with a national team. He has directed three different ERP system conversions that utilized new technologies in order to enhance reporting and day-to-day activities.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from Binghamton University and a Masters of Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Jenna Casserly, Director of Accounting has broad experience in finance and accounting including financial and management reporting, budget and forecasting, and month end close and analysis. Prior to joining Onyx, Jenna worked in the media industry at Initiative Media and most recently Viggle Inc. where she held various financial positions. She graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Thomas Casserly, Accounting Analyst, has six years of experience working in the accounting and treasury management industries. Prior to working at Onyx, Thomas worked in the public sector at the Department of City Planning, Department of Education, and the GRSS Treasury Operations. His career background is in ERP system implementation, database management, and financial reporting. During college, he conducted senior research for his advisor working at the State Department.
Thomas holds a B.A. in Political Economy and a B.A in Comparative Literature from Williams College, and is currently pursuing an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Fordham University.
Matthew Chen, Vice President and Controller, manages all of the financial reporting as well as the accounting and tax functions. Prior to joining Onyx, Matthew was a senior manager at Ernst and Young LLP and had ten years of accounting and auditing experience performing audits of public and private companies from various industries, with a focus on the power and utilities industry.
He is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Rutgers University. Also, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New Jersey Society of CPAs.
Beth Cobb, Executive Assistant and Director of Human Resources, has over five years of experience in Executive Administration and Human Resources. She started as an EA and Office Manager/Human Resources for a boutique securities law firm in Midtown Manhattan, then went on to work for the CEO of Solops, LLC. When CEO of Solops, LLC, Matthew Rosenblum, partnered with Blackstone to form Onyx Renewable Partners, Beth was brought on to assist Mr. Rosenblum and later lead the HR Department.
Matthew Cote, Buyer, Procurement, has a background in operations and logistics and is an integral member of the procurement team at Onyx. Prior to working in the renewable energy industry, Matthew worked in Amazon Fulfillment as an Area Manager. Matthew completed his Honors Capstone Thesis on the power of data analytics for small and medium sized businesses collected through point of sale transactions.
Matthew received a degree in Business Administration from Bryant University in 2015.
Gregg Cousoulas, Vice President, Operations has over fifteen years of diverse experience in the renewable energy and construction industries, having managed the implementation of more than 50 MW of solar installations across 25 rooftop, ground-mounted and landfill properties.
Prior to joining the Onyx team, Gregg was a Project Manager at Orion Energy Systems, an industry leader in the deployment of PV systems and energy efficiency products. In this capacity, he controlled daily field operations for the implementation of PV systems and solar-monitoring projects for commercial, industrial and utility-scale customers. Additionally, Gregg directed Operations and Maintenance initiatives nationwide including technical functions for data acquisition systems, PV system troubleshooting and the establishment of strategic partnerships with third party monitoring organizations.
Katie Crider, Director of Asset Management, has held a variety of positions in the Solar Industry since 2007. She has experience managing commercial and small utility solar projects from inception through facility operation.
Prior to joining Onyx, Katie was Senior Operations Manager at Tecta Solar. During that time, she created and implemented procedures and managed the transition of projects from sales to construction to operation. Prior to that, she was a Solar Development Manager and her responsibilities included project management and coordination, project development, and due diligence.
Katie holds a B.A. from the University of Richmond.
Debra Dodgson, Project Coordinator, has over fifteen years of industry experience. Debra is a seasoned solar project coordinator/construction administrator and is skilled in project management principles and practices. She has a consistent track record of success in the solar/construction industries.
Debra is proficient in providing support for all phases of operations and the lifecycle of a project. She is trained in LEAN project management practices.
Prior to joining Onyx, Debra was a Business Development Coordinator at Johnson Controls and Entech Solar coordinating interdepartmental sales support. She increased company sales growth through development and maximizing strategic relationships.
John has over ten years of experience in design, construction & business development in the DG solar industry. Mr. Drexinger joined Onyx from Protech Energy Solutions, an energy efficiency & renewable energy development company where he was a principal and helped in the development & construction of 100 MW since 2009. Prior to Protech, Mr. Drexinger was a partner at Vanguard Energy Partners overseeing 4 MW of business development & project implementation.
Mr. Drexinger founded NJ Solar Solutions in 2006 which was acquired by Ferraira Construction in 2008 to form Vanguard Energy Partners. NJSS was an original vendor for the BP Solar/Home Depot residential solar program which installed 200 residential projects. NJSS transitioned into commercial solar installations working for DT Solar, a Turner Renewable Company, and building projects for Halls Warehouse, NJ American Water, Manheim Car Auction, Sussex County Community College before Turner Renewable was acquired by First Solar. While at Protech, Mr. Drexinger was a principal architect for the S-1925 solar bill that was signed into law in July 2012 in NJ. John authored & lobbied for approval of the Aggregated Net Metering portion of the bill signed into law.
Mr. Drexinger studied Engineering at Middlesex County College.
Buck Fletcher, Senior Vice President of Strategy, is involved in the firm’s mergers and acquisitions, joint venture, and corporate finance activities. Prior to joining Onyx, Buck worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Blackstone Advisory Partners, where he focused on transactions in the renewable energy and communications sectors. Previously, Buck worked at Portfolio Advisors where he was a member of the secondary private equity investment team. Buck began his career as an analyst in the Global Power & Utilities Investment Banking Group at Banc of America Securities.
Buck received a B.A. in History from Washington and Lee University and an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Gregory Hale, Project Manager, has over seventeen years of experience in the construction and renewable energy industries. He has managed and installed more than 500 MW of solar across hundreds of residential and commercial rooftops, and ground-mounted tracker and fixed mounted solar plants, car ports, and airfield hangers.
Prior to joining Onyx, Gregory was an Electrical Superintendent for Elite Electric running over 100 union workers on 250 MW solar plant in California. He ensured that the crews followed plans, managed schedules, and kept track of all material for each task of the installs. Gregory set up and took part in all inspections and worked alongside the union foreman to ensure a clean, safe work environment and oversaw timely completion of projects to meet company deadlines.
Robert Hamill, Vice President of Procurement, has over twenty years of supply chain management experience within the energy, manufacturing, and publishing industries. Over the past 7 years, he managed the procurement of equipment and materials for over 400MW of utility, commercial, and residential solar systems across the US with Onyx, Gehrlicher Solar, and Real Goods Solar.
Over his career, he has worked for notable companies such as the History Channel, Reader’s Digest, Constellation Energy, and Entergy Nuclear.
Robert received a MS in Operations from Polytechnic Institute of New York University, and a BS in Marketing and Management from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Thomas Hayes, has two years of experience in the Renewable Energy Industry and four years of overall experience in the Energy Industry. During college, Thomas interned for two summers at Baker & McKenzie LLP working in the Banking & Finance, Major Projects Department, specifically their Insurance & Reinsurance Practice specializing in Nuclear and Energy Insurance and Captive Insurance Regulations. Prior to joining Onyx, Thomas worked as a Paralegal for two years in Allstate Insurance’s Litigation Department.
Thomas received his B.A. in Political Science and minor in Psychology from Western New England University in 2012.
Julie Henderson, Office Manager and Project Coordinator at the Sausalito, CA office, has over ten years of management and sales experience. While working at Onyx, she has become a vital part of the C&I group on the West Coast, supporting projects at all stages of development and construction. She works with vendors to coordinate the deliveries of materials, scheduling, formal submissions to the county, client, or customer, as well as creating an action plan to streamline the interconnection communication process for the entire West Coast portfolio. Along with C&I project coordination, she is also an asset to the Utility Scale Development team. She handles document management and editing, internal updates, and administrative duties.
Eric Jacquez, Project Manager, has over ten years of project management experience within the renewable energy, construction, manufacturing and design industries. Eric is currently managing over 36 C&I solar projects totaling more than 10 MW, 28 of which will be energized before the end of the 2017 calendar year.
Prior to joining Onyx, Eric worked as an assistant project manager at Scatec Solar, a global leading independent solar energy provider. Eric worked with the state, local and federal jurisdictions in Utah and Georgia to develop two 80MW of solar power projects. Eric has extensive experience working with contractors to mitigate any environmental impacts, developing water mitigation solutions, endangered species solutions, and cultural protection and storm water pollution prevention plans.
Eric received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Priyanka Kandula, Vice President, Strategy, has over six years of experience in renewable energy development and financing. Prior to joining Onyx, Priyanka was a senior manager with Urban Green Energy’s Solar Direct Enterprise Division in New York. She had previously co-founded and run SunVolt Energy, a solar energy focused project advisory business based in India. While at SunVolt, she also oversaw the construction of a grid connected Solar plant for SunVolt’s balance sheet. Before transitioning to Solar Energy, Priyanka had worked as an investment banker in London and in India.
Priyanka received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, where she graduated with First Class Honors and an M.B.A from the Indian School of Business, where she was selected to complete the elective terms of her degree at the Wharton School in Philadelphia.
Josh Katz, Business Development, has three years of experience in the Renewable Energy and Finance industries. Prior to working with Onyx, Josh worked at Citigroup in the Investment Banking division, focused on Power & Alternative Energy. As part of the firm’s banking group, Josh assisted in executing strategic financial transactions on behalf of Fortune 500 clients including renewable energy developers, utility companies, and private equity firms. In this role, Josh developed financial analysis and executed process supporting the sale of companies/generation assets and capital raises.
During and after graduating from college, Josh worked to form Challengage, a business designed to enhance college recruiting for top students. There he led product design and business development with clients such as Ernst & Young, Lockheed Martin, and other top service firms.
Prior to Citigroup, Josh interned at Goldman Sachs in their Finance division supporting the Special Situations Group, a $6 billion investing and lending desk.
Josh graduated summa cum laude from Binghamton University with a Bachelors of Science in Financial Engineering.
Pietro Lomazzi, Director, Business Development, has eight years of investing and operating experience in the renewable energy space. Prior to joining Onyx, Pietro was an Investment Manager at Noventi Ventures where he raised $200mm for 6 early stage portfolio companies. Pietro started his career as a founding member of the Corporate Business Development Group of Sorgenia where he facilitated doubling revenues to +$3bn during his three years with the company.
Pietro holds a B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Engineering form the Politecnico di Milano, an M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate form the Politecnico di Milano and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
Michael Mahal, Director of Engineering, has over five years of experience in renewable energy engineering, plan development, and construction. He has acted as the lead project engineer for over 93MW of installed operational PV facilities across the U.S. ranging in size from residential to utility scale.
Prior to Onyx, Michael worked as the Director of Engineering for Gehrlicher Solar. He brings his past experience to Onyx as a valuable contributor to not only the operations team, but also the business development, finance, and asset management teams. Mike is a NABCEP certified PV Installer and is OSHA certified in Electrical Safety Training & “LOTO” Standard. He is a registered EIT with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is expecting to achieve his Professional Engineering License.
Michael received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University as well as a Master of Engineering in Energy Systems Engineering from the same.
Joseph McGee, Operations Analyst, has over five years of renewable and alternative energy experience. Joe is involved with the planning, coordination and reporting efforts between several disciplines within the EPC team, overseeing file sharing and data management with nearly 300 outside contractors.
Prior to Onyx, Joe was an analyst with Tecta Solar where he was responsible for aspects of project development, financial modeling, interconnection and incentive applications. Joe performed regular market and incentive research and reporting for future opportunities, as well as writing proposals for commercial ground mount, roof, and car canopy photovoltaic projects for private businesses, municipalities, government organizations, and utilities.
Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Pennsylvania State University.
Tung N’Vietson, Business Development and Utility Interconnection, joined Onyx Renewable Partners in March 2016. Tung works extensively with various teams across Onyx (including Engineering and Construction) as a key liaison supporting timely execution of business and project development operations, in addition to working with Utilities and offtakers to accomplish solar PV project site energization. His experience covers both West and East Coast solar portfolios – including entities as schools, governments and landfills – while navigating regulations and relationships with major Utilities as National Grid, PG&E, Southern California Edison, etc., in these regions.
Prior to joining Onyx, Tung worked as an Account and Research Manager at GLG Research for 4 years in both NYC and Austin covering large-scale consulting engagements primarily for hedge funds and private equity investors. He covered all industry sectors at GLG with a primary focus on Healthcare, Biomedical and Life Sciences verticals.
Tung received his Bachelor of Arts with a Dual Concentration in Economics and Biology from Brown University in Spring 2012.
Jonathan Poon, Associate, Finance, has over 5 years of experience in structured finance and asset-backed lending. Prior to joining Onyx, Jonathan was an Associate with Broadscale Group, advising energy companies including National Grid and Panasonic on clean energy venture capital investments. Previously, Jonathan worked with HSBC in Hong Kong where he closed multiple deals on power plant and real estate financing.
Jonathan received a B.B.A. in Actuarial Analysis from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an M.P.A. with a concentration in energy policy from Columbia University.
Matthew Ransweiler has over ten years of experience, including more than 7 within the power generation industry. Prior to joining Onyx, Matthew was a Director in Invenergy LLC’s Structured Finance Group, leading the construction and term financings of utility scale wind, solar and gas-fired power generation assets.
During his 5 years at Invenergy, Matthew successfully raised approximately $3B in debt and equity capital, supporting the successful construction of more than 500 MW of utility scale renewable assets and a 1.5 GW of gas-fired project, which was named Power Finance & Risk 2016 North American Conventional Power Deal of the Year. Matthew has a Bachelors in Business Administration with a Finance Concentration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and is a CFA charterholder.
Gaurav Raval, Design Engineer, has over three years of experience in renewable energy engineering, research and development, and construction. He is instrumental in design and execution as Project Engineer for over 25MW of installed operational/under-going construction PV facilities across the U.S. ranging in size from residential to utility scale.
Prior to Onyx, Gaurav worked as Research and Development Engineer for Swiss Center for Electronics and Micro Technology (CSEM)-UAE Innovation Center LLC, United Arab Emirates (UAE). His work was focused on applied Solar Energy systems (PV and Thermal) and emphasis on mini-grid electrical network analysis. He brings his past experience to Onyx as a valuable contributor to not only the Design team, but also works closely with the Business Development and Construction teams. Gaurav is OSHA Certified in Construction.
Gaurav received a Bachelor’s of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University, India and achieved his M.S in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Energy Systems from University at Buffalo, State University of New York.
Luigi Resta, Executive Vice President, Utility Solar Development, has over ten years of experience in renewable development. Prior to joining Onyx, Luigi served as Managing Director of Scatec Solar North America (SSNA). Under Luigi’s leadership, SSNA completed multiple 15-20 MW projects in Hawaii and California, and executed three long-term power purchase agreements under the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act totaling more than 300 MWDC of photovoltaic builds in 2015 and 2016 in Utah and Georgia. In December 2015, Luigi and his team commissioned the 104 MWDC Utah Red Hills Renewable Park (URHRP), Utah’s first utility-scale solar plant in less than a year, with financing from Google and Prudential Capital Group. Utah’s Governor and Utah Clean Energy have publicly recognized Luigi for his role in opening the utility-scale solar market in Utah, a state with excellent solar potential. Before joining SSNA, he was a founding member of AMG Energy, a renewable energy company.
Enrique Salcedo, Vice President, Project Management, has over ten years of renewable energy experience in the United States and abroad. Enrique’s entire career has been focused in the renewable energy business, specifically Wind, Solar and Battery Storage.
Prior to joining Onyx, Enrique was a Project Manager of Gamesa Energy Services, one of the largest Wind Turbine Manufacturers worldwide. Previously, he was the Technical Office Manager for Global Energy Services, which is a global leader in construction and services for Wind and Solar.
Enrique has managed the construction and services for multiple C&I and utility scale Wind and Solar Energy projects and has built a portfolio of hundreds of MWs in Europe, the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. Enrique obtained his Architectural Engineering Degree at the University of Valencia in Spain, and his Renewable Energy Thesis at the Oldenburg School of Engineering in Germany.
Monica Sargent joined Onyx Renewable Partners in 2015 as Office Manager of the New Jersey Office, Hiring Manager and Director of Marketing.
As Director of Marketing, Ms. Sargent is responsible for the marketing, advertising and public relations of Onyx taking steps to measure, enhance and enrich the position and image of the company through various goals and objectives. She coordinates the creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials, manages and maintains social media sites for the Company to ensure continuity in brand and message. She also maintains and updates website and social media content in accordance with the growth of the company.
Ms. Sargent is responsible for the overall management of office activities in the New Jersey EPC Headquarter Office including maintaining office systems and providing executive administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer.
Ms. Sargent is responsible for all aspects of hiring, including preparation of job descriptions, facilitation of interviewing process and maintenance of career database.
She has more than twenty-five years of experience in the legal marketing industry. Prior to joining Onyx Renewable Partners, she was the Marketing Director at the Law Firm of Hill Wallack.
Her academic focus was on Marketing and Office Management.
John Spilman, Senior Vice President – Project Counsel, specializes in electric power infrastructure development, construction sale, acquisition and finance transactions for the renewable energy industry. His twenty five+ years of legal practice includes development and finance work on renewable energy projects in the United States, Canada, Mexico and other foreign countries, including over 2,500 MW of capacity installed, for clients in the wind, solar and bulk energy transmission and storage industries.
Prior to joining Onyx, Mr. Spilman held other positions including General Counsel to Scatec Solar North America, Inc. (utility-scale solar PV projects) and Gridflex Energy, LLC (pumped storage hydroelectric projects).
In 2013, Euromoney’s Legal Media Group named Mr. Spilman to its inaugural “CleanTech 100” consisting of the top 100 clean technology and renewable energy attorneys practicing in the industry and recommended consistently by their colleagues as reputable and effective attorneys who are constantly involved with the industry.
In 2011, the Daily Journal, a leading publisher of legal news periodicals, recognized Mr. Spilman among the “Top 25 Clean Tech Lawyers” in California.
Mr. Spilman received his early training at large law firms working in San Francisco, New York and Tokyo. He holds a JD degree from the University of Michigan Law School (1985), and an undergraduate business degree from Berkeley-Haas at the University of California (1981, Phi Beta Kappa). Mr. Spilman is admitted to the California Bar.
Daniel Swayze, P.E., Senior Vice President of Engineering, has over twenty-four years of engineering experience representing private developers, public agencies and contractors. Since 2009, Dan has been involved in the development, design and construction administration of numerous renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. As a Professional Engineer, Dan has over 20 years of consulting and engineering experience in the planning, design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of civil capital improvement and infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Onyx, Dan was the Energy & Utilities Practice Leader as well as a Regional Manager for a multistate engineering consulting firm.
In this role he was responsible for the development and execution of all energy and utility related projects for the company as well as operational responsibility for a specific region. Dan has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. in Finance from Rutgers.
Jeffrey Tundo, Accounting Analyst, has over five years of experience in the construction industry, specifically focused on commercial roofing. Prior to joining Onyx, Jeff performed financial analysis and research at Four World Capital, a hedge fund focused on event-driven investment opportunities with a spotlight on tax, legal and regulatory catalysts.
Jeffrey received a B.A. in Economics from Stony Brook University.
David Watts, Manager of Technical Accounting and Reporting, has eight years of technical accounting and audit experience. Prior to joining Onyx, David was a manager at Ernst and Young LLP performing audits of public and private companies from various industries, including the oil and gas and retail and consumer products industries.
David is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and holds a M.S. degree in Accounting from the University of New Hampshire. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
William Webber, Jr., SVP Business Development/Utility Scale, has over ten years of renewable energy development experience. William has originated and managed utility scale development projects throughout North and Central America including: CFE, ERCOT, TVA, PREPA, PJM, WAPA and the Cayman Islands. Prior to his work in the renewable industry, William has had over twenty years of leadership positions in commercial real estate development in the United States and Europe.
William has earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Northeastern University and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics - LERE Program (Land Economics and Real Estate) from Texas A&M University.
Alexander Worthy, Associate, Strategy and Finance, has three years of experience working in the renewable energy sector. Prior to joining Onyx, Alexander was an Associate at NY Green Bank where he participated in the origination, structuring, and execution of over $100mm of debt investments in solar, energy efficiency, cogeneration, and transportation infrastructure projects.
Alexander received a B.A. in Global Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated with Highest Distinction.
Tong Xia, Senior Project Engineer, has over eight years of experience in the renewable energy industry. Since 2009, Tong has been involved in residential, commercial, industrial and large scale PV system development, design, engineering, permitting, procurement, construction and O&M. With hands-on experience in PV system construction, Tong has facilitated the implementation of over 50MW of systems. Prior to joining Onyx, Tong was the Director of Engineering at OnForce Solar, one of the largest and leading solar EPC firms in New York City at the time.
Tong holds NABCEP certified PV installation professional certificate and NABCEP certified PV system inspector certificate. Tong has a B.S. in Civil Engineering in China, and an M.S. in Structural Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
